Program SMCM, Commission Matrix Maintenance, is used to create commission matrices for product sales representatives.
Commission matrices are simple commission schemes that are created based on a sales representative, the customer or customer price group, and an item, item product code, or item product group.
The commission code assigned to the matrix determines the commission that the sales representative will receive.
Commission codes are defined in program SCCM, Commission Code Maintenance.
The commission code used is determined in the following order. The first commission matrix with parameters that match those of the sales order line will be used.

1. In the Product Group/Product Code/Item No field, enter the product group, product code, or item number for which you are setting up a commission matrix.
Either this field or the Customer/Price Group field must have an entry, although both can be entered.
2. In the Customer/Price Group field, enter the customer or the customer price group for which you are setting up a commission matrix.

3. In the Sales Rep field, enter the sales representative for which you are setting up a commission matrix. When a sales representative is defined, the commission matrix will only apply to sales order lines to which that sales representative is assigned.
4. In the Commission Code field, enter the commission code that will be assigned to the sales order line when the sales order line meets the parameters defined for the commission matrix.
5. Press [Commit].
