Program CMGM, Tax Exemption Group Maintenance, is used to enter and maintain tax exemption group records. Product codes can then be tied to these tax exemption groups in program CMXM, Tax Exemption Matrix Maintenance.
A tax exemption group can be assigned to a customer record in program CMMM, Customer Master Maintenance. When an order is entered for an item with a product code tied to a tax exemption group assigned to the order customer, the default tax flag is set to off, overriding the Taxable flag in program ICSM, Inventory Sales Data Maintenance.

1. Enter the exemption code.
2. Enter the exemption description.
3. Press [Commit].
