Creating Scheduled Jobs

  1. In the Explorer Tree, right click on the Schedule object.

  2. Select Scheduled Job from the menu.

  3. The Creating New Job Schedule screen is displayed.

  4. In the Name property, enter the name of the job schedule.

  5. In the Job Schedule Type property, select the schedule type.  Choices are Simple or Cron.

  6. In the Job Type property, enter the job type.

  7. Click on the Next button at the bottom of the screen.

  8. In the START section, select the day on which the job will start.

    The first pop-list is the month.
    The second pop-list is the day.
    The third pop-list is the year.

  9. Select the Time at which the job will start.

    The first pop-list is the hour.  
    The second pop-list is the minute.
    The third pop-list is the second.

  10. In the END section, select the day on which the job will end.

    The first pop-list is the month.
    The second pop-list is the day.
    The third pop-list is the year.

  11. Select the Time at which the job will end.

    The first pop-list is the hour.  
    The second pop-list is the minute.
    The third pop-list is the second.

  12. In the Repetition Rate pop-list, select the number of times the job will repeat.

  13. Click on the Next button at the bottom of the screen to continue.

  14. In the eMail field, enter the email for those that are subscribed to this job.

  15. Click on the Subscribe button to add the email to the Subscribed users section.

  16. To unsubscribe an email, select the email in the lower block/

  17. Click on the Unsubscribe button to remove the email.

  18. Click on the Finish button to create the job.

  19. Click on the Save button to save the new schedule job.

Modifying Scheduled Jobs

  1. In the Explorer Tree, expand the Schedule object and select the scheduled job that you wish to modify.

  2. Display the scheduled job properties.  These will either be displayed in Alphabetical or Logically, depending on the setting of the [Sort Alphabetically/Logically] button.  The following instructions are assuming that the properties are sorted logically.

  3. In the Name property, the scheduled job name entered during creation is displayed and can be changed.

  4. In the Job Schedule type property, select the type of schedule, either Simple or Cron.

  5. In the Schedule property, the range of dates and times for which the job was created is displayed.

  6. To modify the schedule, click in the Schedule property's value field.

  7. In the START section, select the day on which the job will start.

    The first pop-list is the month.
    The second pop-list is the day.
    The third pop-list is the year.

  8. Select the Time at which the job will start.

    The first pop-list is the hour.  
    The second pop-list is the minute.
    The third pop-list is the second.

  9. In the END section, select the day on which the job will end.

    The first pop-list is the month.
    The second pop-list is the day.
    The third pop-list is the year.

  10. Select the Time at which the job will end.
    The first pop-list is the hour.  
    The second pop-list is the minute.
    The third pop-list is the second.

  11. In the Repetition Rate pop-list, select the number of times the job will repeat.

  12. Click on the Finish button to return to the property sheet.

  13. The email addresses assigned to the scheduled job are displayed in the Subscribed Users property.

  14. To modify the subscribed users, click in the Subscribed Users property's value field.

  15. In the eMail field, enter the email for those that are subscribed to this job.

  16. Click on the Subscribe button to add the email to the Subscribed users section.

  17. To unsubscribe an email, select the email in the lower block/

  18. Click on the Unsubscribe button to remove the email.

  19. Click on the Finish button at the bottom of the screen to return to the property sheet.

  20. The Created On property displays the date and time on which the schedule was created.  It cannot be changed.

  21. The Modified On property displays the date and time on which the schedule was last modified.  It cannot be changed.

  22. Click on the Save button to save the changes.
