Paper Sizes

Paper sizes define the measurements of the paper on which reports will be printed.  When assigned to report entities, they also define the default total size of the report.

Creating/Modifying Paper Sizes

  1. In the Explorer Tree, click on the Paper Size Information object to select it.

  2. There are options in creating a paper size at this point.

  1. The paper size will be generated and displayed in green on the Explorer Tree. The Property Sheet will be displayed for the new paper size. Paper size properties will either be displayed in Alphabetical or Logically, depending on the setting of the [Sort Alphabetically/Logically] button.  The following instructions are assuming that the properties are sorted logically.

  2. In the Name property, enter the name of the paper size.  Paper size names are user-defined.

  3. In the Description property, enter a user-defined description for the paper size.

  4. The Standard property indicates whether or not this papersize was provided by Xephr.  All user-created papersizes will have this property set to false.  

    Papersizes with this Standard property set to true cannot have their Width, Height, and Units of Measure properties cannot be changed.

  5. In the Width property, enter the width of the paper size in the measurement unit defined in the Units of Measure property.  Only non-standard papersizes can have the width modified.

  6. In the Height property, enter the height of the paper size in the measurement unit defined in the Units of Measure property.  Only non-standard papersizes can have the height modified.

  7. In the Units of Measure pop-list, select the measurement unit for this paper size.  Choices are Inches, Millimeters, and Points.  This is the unit of measure in which the height and width of the paper size should be entered. Only non-standard papersizes can have the unit of measure modified.

  8. In the Created on property, the date and time on which this papersize was created is displayed and cannot be changed.

  9. In the Modified on property, the date and time on which this papersize was last changed is displayed and cannot be changed.

  10. When all changes have been made, press the [Save] button in the main toolbar.
