Xephr Administration Console
System Metrics

This screen displays performance information about the Xephr® system.  This information is intended to be used for performance tuning and includes performance by user and object.  Click on the desired heading to sort by that column.  When the system metrics logging is enabled, it impacts the performance of the Xephr system, so you will have to enable it to start logging the information.

  1. The Location property displays the current location within the administration console.

  2. In the Auto Refresh Interval field, enter the number of seconds between each refresh of this screen.   Click on the Refresh button to refresh the screen immediately.

  3. The Reset Button will clear the current information and restart logging the information.

  4. The Enable Button will enable logging of the system metrics if it has been disabled.

  5. The Disable Button will disable logging of the system metrics and clear the current information.

  6. The Monitor Label is the object, user, or combination thereof by which the performance information is being gathered.  The object levels are separated by periods.  

  1. Hits indicates the number of times a hit was made against the object, such as when it was generated, or when changes were saved in the Xephr Studio.

  2. Avg ms displays the average number of milliseconds for each hit against the object.

  3. Total ms displays the total number of milliseconds for all hits against the object.

  4. STD Dev ms displays the standard deviation for the hits against the object.

  5. Min ms displays the minimum number of milliseconds recorded for a hit against the object.

  6. Max ms displays the maximum number of milliseconds recorded for a hit against the object.

  7. Active displays the number of active connections for the object.

  8. Avg Active displays the average number of active connections for the object.

  9. Max Active displays the maximum number of active connections for the object.

  10. First Active displays the date and time on which the object first became active.

  11. Last Active displays the date and time on which the object was last active.

  12. Primary indicates whether the object in the Monitor Label column is the top level object for which information is being recorded.  If it is the top level object, the word Yes will be displayed in this column.

  13. The columns beginning with 0-10ms and ending with >20480ms displays information about the time for which the object was run in the format  Hits/Avg ms.(Avg Active/Primary Active/Global Active).
