Blocks can be set up to access additional services from Xephr
In order to use these services, you must have a datasource set up for each one. For more information, see the Xephr Service Datasources section.
Xephr service blocks automatically pick up user restrictions (i.e. entered via QBE).
Xephr service blocks make use of Joins.
Xephr service blocks include zero or more parameter properties that can accept values (including global value declarations) that will be used to filter the result set if supplied.
The Xephr Menus service allows you to access the menu records from the Menu Information object tree in the Explorer Tree for use in creating menu entities for your Xephr runtime. For more information on menus, see the Menus section.
You must have a Xephr Menus datasource set up to access this service.
The parameters assigned to each service type are used to restrict the values returned from the Xephr service.
MenuQuery: Returns the columns available for the menu records in the Xephr database.
MENU_NAME: the name of the Xephr menu in the Menu Information object tree in the Explorer Tree for which the menu links should be displayed on this block.
The Xephr User Maintenance service allows you to access the user records for use in creating user viewing and maintenance entities for your Xephr runtime.
You must have a Xephr User Maintenance datasource set up to access this service.
The parameters assigned to each service type are used to restrict the values returned from the Xephr service.
Users: Returns the columns available for the user records in the Xephr database.
Globals: Returns the columns available for the global records in the Xephr database. Globals are entered by user.
USER_ID: The unique user ID number assigned to each user when it is created. The user ID is the primary key for each user record.
FIRST_NAME: The value entered as the first name in the user record.
MIDDLE_INITIAL: The value entered as the middle initial in the user record.
LAST_NAME: The value entered as the last name in the user record.
DESCRIPTION: The value entered as the description in the user record.
EMAIL: The value entered as the email in the user record.
LOGIN: The value entered as the login in the user record.
PASSWORD: The value entered as the password in the user record.
START_PAGE: The value entered as the start page in the user record.
GLOBAL_ID: The unique global ID number assigned to each global record when it is created. The global ID is the primary key for each global record.
USER_ID: The user ID for the user to which this global is assigned.
GLOBAL_NAME: The value entered as the global name in the global record.
GLOBAL_VALUE: The value entered as the global value in the global record.
