Editable lists are blocks in list mode where the rows on the list are editable. Blocks are considered lists when the Max Number of Rows property is set to something other than 1. Blocks are considered editable when the Display Only pop-list is set to false for the block.
In the Explorer Tree, locate the object for which you wish to create an editable list block.
Expand the Template Information object, locate the desired template and expand it, and then locate the list block that you are modifying to be an editable list.
Expand the Group Information object and any sub-groups until you can select the desired screen and expand it. Then locate the list block that you are modifying to be an editable list.
If you do not have a block created, see the Adding Blocks section for information on how to add a block.
Display the Property Sheet for the block.
Set the Max Number of Rows property to something other than 1.
Set the Display Only pop-list to false for the block.
In the New Rows First property,
select true or false.
When this property is set to true
and the Num New Rows property is set to a value other than 0, the new
rows generated for the insert of new database records will be displayed
at the top, before the existing database rows.
When this property is set to false
and the Num New Rows property is set to a value other than 1, the new
rows generated for the insert of new database records will be displayed
at the bottom, after the existing database rows.
In the Num New Rows property, enter the number of new rows that should be generated on this block for the insert of new database records. If new records cannot be created on this entity, set this property to 0.
