Catalog pricing allows pricing for customers and customer price groups to be determined by a catalog ID entered on the sales order.
For more information on determining the pricing, see the Pricing section.
Catalog Pricing works as follows:
Catalog pricing is set up. Different prices and discounts can be entered for multiple catalog ID's in program CMPC, Price Matrix Maintenance. Prices and discounts can also be entered without a catalog ID.
In the sales order entry programs, the sales order is entered.
If no catalog ID is entered for the sales order, all prices entered in program CMPC, Price Matrix Maintenance, are considered. The lowest price is used, regardless of catalog ID, as described in the Pricing section.
If a catalog ID is entered for the sales order, both the prices entered for the specified catalog ID and the prices entered with no catalog ID are considered. The lowest price is used.
Enter the catalog ID's and descriptions. Catalog ID's are entered on the Order Codes screen on the sales order entry programs.
Enter the price matrix records for the catalog ID. You can enter the records by customer or by customer price groups, and by item or item price group.
Prices can also be entered without a catalog ID (NONE in the pop-list in the header). These are considered during sales order line pricing calculations, regardless of the entry of the catalog ID.
Enter the sales order header. Press the [Order Codes] button. Enter the Catalog ID. Commit. Enter the sales order lines. Sales order lines for which will be priced using the pricing has been established in program CMPC, Price Matrix Maintenance. The prices entered for the specified catalog ID and the prices entered with no catalog ID are considered. The lowest price is used.
