Data Exchange Functionality

Data exchange entities retrieve data from the database and store it in a delimited file. To run a data exchange entity, click on the link that runs the data exchange entity, located on a menu or other entity. The delimited file will be generated and displayed in the appropriate delimited file reader.

Data exchange output is based on the set up of the data exchange entity in the Xephr® Studio. Fields can be padded, or not padded, strings can be quoted or not quoted, and the fields can be separated by a large variety of separator characters. Macintosh, Windows, and Unix standard record separators can also be defined.
