Main Toolbar

The main toolbar consists of buttons for the most frequently used navigation and function actions. Grayed out buttons are not active and cannot be pressed.  The buttons from left to right are as follows:

Save :             Select this option to save the changes to the selected object.  This functionality is also available using the Save selection on the File menu or Ctrl+S on the keyboard.

Delete :          Select this option to delete the selected object.  Deletes will occur immediately.  This functionality is also available using the Delete selection on the File menu or Ctrl+D on the keyboard.

New Menu :   Select this option to create a new menu in the Explorer Tree.  This functionality is also available using the New Menu selection on the File menu or Alt+M on the keyboard.

New Menu Link : Select this option to create a new menu link in the Explorer Tree.  This functionality is also available using the New Menu Link selection on the File menu or Alt+I on the keyboard.

New Group : Select this option to create a new group object in the Explorer Tree.  This functionality is also available using the New Group selection on the File menu or Alt+G on the keyboard.

New Wizard  : Select this option to create new entity objects in the Explorer Tree.  Entities include reports, screens, data exchanges, spreadsheets, and XML documents.  This functionality is also available using the New Wizard selection on the File menu or Alt+W on the keyboard.

New Block : Select this option to create a new block in the selected entity.  This functionality is also available using the New Block selection on the File menu or Alt+B on the keyboard.

New Field : Select this option to create a new field in the selected block.  This functionality is also available using the New Field selection on the File menu or Alt+Numpad-9 on the keyboard.

New Format Mask : Select this option to create a new format mask in the Explorer Tree.  This functionality is also available using the New Format Mask Link selection on the File menu or Alt+A on the keyboard.

New List of Values : Select this option to create a new list of values.  This functionality is also available using the New List of Values selection on the File menu or Alt+L on the keyboard.

New Style : Select this option to create a new style.  This functionality is also available using the New Style selection on the File menu or Alt+Y on the keyboard.

New Link Style : Select this option to create a new link style.  This functionality is also available using the New Link Style selection on the File menu or Alt+K on the keyboard.

New User : Select this option to create a new user in the Explorer Tree.  This functionality is also available using the New User Link selection on the File menu or Alt+U on the keyboard.

New Global : Select this option to create a new global for the selected user.  This functionality is also available using the New Global Link selection on the File menu or Alt+O on the keyboard.

New Db Login : Select this option to create a new database login for the selected user  This functionality is also available using the New Db Login Link selection on the File menu or Alt+D on the keyboard.

New Datasource : Select this option to create a new datasource.  This functionality is also available using the Create Datasource selection on the File menu or Alt+D on the keyboard.

Upload File : Select this option to upload a file in the Explorer Tree.  This functionality is also available using the Upload Resource File Link selection on the File menu or Alt+R on the keyboard.

New Papersize : Select this option to create a new paper size in the Explorer Tree.  This functionality is also available using the New Paper Size Link selection on the File menu or Alt+P on the keyboard.

Sort Alphabetically/Logically : Select this option to sort the Property Sheet alphabetically or logically. When this button is dark gray, the Property Sheet is sorted alphabetically.  When the button is light gray, the Property Sheet is sorted logically.  This functionality is also available using the Sort Properties Alphabetically selection on the View menu or Ctrl+F3 on the keyboard.

Show/Hide Property Sheet : Select this option to toggle the Property Sheet display on and off in the main Xephr® Administration System screen. When the button is dark gray, the Property Sheet is displayed.  When the button is light gray, the Property Sheet is hidden.  This functionality is also available using the Property Sheet selection on the View menu or Ctrl+P on the keyboard.

Show/Hide Preview Pane : Select this option to toggle the Preview Pane display on and off in the main Xephr Administration System screen. When the button is dark gray, the Preview Pane is displayed.  When the button is light gray, the Preview Pane is hidden. This functionality is also available using the Preview Pane selection on the View menu or Ctrl+F8 on the keyboard.

Run Current :        Select this option to run the currently selected object.  See Running Entities from Xephr Studio for more information.

Transfer Queue : Displays the number of entities waiting to be transferred to another Xephr instance.

Clipboard Display : Displays the contents of the clipboard, from the Cut/Copy/Paste features.
