Link Style Example

New Xephr® Repositories come with a link style.  In this example, we will modify the link style to use the new LINK_STYLE style created in the Style Examples as the visited style.  Links have four different states, and a different style can be assigned to each state.

Creating New Link Styles

In this example, we will create a new link style.

  1. Click on the Link Style Information object.

  2. Right click and select New->Link Style.

  3. The link style property sheet is displayed.

  4. In the Name property, enter LINKS as the link style name.

  5. In the Description property, enter the description for the link style - Link style.

  6. In the Normal Style property, select the LINK_STYLE as the normal style.  This will give hyperlinks the red, bold, underlined text style.

  7. In the Visited Style property, select the DEFAULT_STYLE as the visited style.  This will give visited hyperlinks the blue, bold text style, and they will look the same as other text on the entity.

  8. Leave the Hover Style and Active Style properties set to (normal style).  This gives them the same style as that assigned in the Normal Style property, so they will have the red, bold, underlined text style.

  9. Press the Save button when all the changes have been made.

  10. Repeat these steps and create a link style called REPORTS, which uses the REPORT_LINKS style as its normal style, and the remaining style properties set to (normal style).  This style is used in the Report Examples section.
