New Xephr
Normal: The Normal state is any link that is not the Visited, Active, or Hover state. This is also the default style to use for the Visited, Active, and/or Hover states, if they are not assigned a style.
Visited: Any link that the user has already visited will be in the Visited state. When set to (normal style), the style defined in the Normal Style property will be used for this state.
Hover: If the user has the mouse over a link but has not yet clicked it, the link will be in the Hover state. When set to (normal style), the style defined in the Normal Style property will be used for this state.
Active:Links that the user has just clicked on are in the Active state. When set to (normal style), the style defined in the Normal Style property will be used for this state.
Click on the expand switch to the left of the Link
Style Information object to expand it and display the existing
link styles.
Left click on the DEF_LINK link style to display its
property sheet.
In the Visited Style
property, select the LINK_STYLE style that was created earlier. When
a user has visited a link, its style will change to the one defined here.
You can make changes to the other three states in the same way.
Press the Save button in the main toolbar to save the changes.
In this example, we will create a new link style.
Click on the Link Style Information object.
Right click and select New->Link
Style.
The link style property sheet is
displayed.
In the Name
property, enter LINKS as the link style name.
In the Description
property, enter the description for the link style - Link style.
In the Normal
Style property, select the LINK_STYLE as the normal style. This
will give hyperlinks the red, bold, underlined text style.
In the Visited
Style property, select the DEFAULT_STYLE as the visited style.
This will give visited hyperlinks the blue, bold
text style, and they will look the same as other text on the entity.
Leave the Hover
Style and Active Style
properties set to (normal style). This gives them
the same style as that assigned in the Normal Style property, so they
will have the red, bold, underlined text style.
Press the Save button when all the changes have been made.
Repeat these steps and create a
link style called REPORTS, which uses the REPORT_LINKS style as its normal
style, and the remaining style properties set to (normal style). This
style is used in the Report Examples
section.
This link style is required for the cascading menu example.
Click on the Link Style Information object.
Right click and select New->Link
Style.
The link style property sheet is displayed.
In the Name property, enter CASCADE_LINK as the link style name.
In the Normal Style property, select the CASCADE_BLACK style as the normal style. This will give cascading menus an outlined, bold, black text style.
Leave the Visited Style property set to (normal style). This gives it the same style as that assigned in the Normal Style property.
In the Hover Style property, select the CASCADE_RED style as the normal style. This will give cascading menus an outlined, bold, red, underlined text style when the cursor moves over the link.
Leave the Active
Style properties set to (normal style). This
gives it the same style as that assigned in the Normal Style property.
Press the Save button when all the changes have been made.
