Sales orders entered with the sales reason code of W - Will Call will be placed on hold when shipped with one of the sales order shipping programs. These orders can then be queried and shipped when the customer comes to pick up the sales order at a later date.
The following setup and steps should be followed for this feature.
Set up parameter WILL_CALL_HOLD with Y as the value to activate the will call hold feature.
Verify that the W - Will Call sales reason code exists in this program.
Verify that the W - Will Call hold code exists in this program.
Enter a sales order with the sales reason code of W - Will Call.
Ship the sales order. The sales order will be placed on W - Will Call Hold.
When the customer comes to pick up the sales order, query the sales order in this program and press the [Process Order] button. The sales order is now shipped and can be processed with program OESJ, Sales Order End of Day and Journals.
