Program UTKM, Maintain Drill Down Keys, is used to enter the values to be used for drill down keys when a program is targeted from another program. This program contains the generic description, or in the case of reports, the report parameter name for up to the five available key fields. Drill down keys are set up by target program. The keys are the column names of the fields from the program.

Keys are used to bring information from one program to the target program.

New keys can be added by a programmer in the forms and then must be added in this program to display the availability of the key. They should be flagged as custom since drill down keys will be updated with new upgrades of NDS.

Any definitions that the user enters should be marked as custom so that future upgrades will not overwrite the information.

Entering Custom Keys

1. If a programmer has added a new key to a program, it must be added in the program in order for it to be able to be used during drill down.

If a custom program has been added to the system, the program's keys should be added in this program to allow the program to be accessed through drill down.

2. Press [Enter Query].

3. Enter the program for which you are entering keys.

4. Press [Execute Query].

5. In the Key1 to Key5 fields, enter the column names from the programs that are to be used as drill down keys when the program is accessed from another program. The information in these columns will be brought from one program to the target program.

5. Set the Custom flag to on. This prevents the record from being overwritten during upgrades.

6. Press [Commit].
