Program UTFX, Fax Server Maintenance, is used to define the parameters by which the NDS fax generator creates addressing information for the fax server. This program is very specific to your fax server and mail software.
Enter the string of characters that make up the email address to which the fax server will respond. Data known to the NDS fax generator can be inserted by specifying variable substitution text. The substitution text available is as follows:
%nam will be replaced by the destination person name
%fax will be replaced by the destination fax telephone number.
%com will be replaced by the destination company name
%bi1 will be replaced by fax billing code #1
%bi2 will be replaced by fax billing code #2.
An IETF standard string might be: /fax=%fax/pn=%nam/o=%com/dd.bi1=%bi1/dd.bi2=%bi2@faxgate.company.com
An SMTP standard string might be"/fax=%faxpn=#nam/o=%com/" <faxgate.company.com>
If a substitution variable will not be used, do not include it in your string. For example, if billing codes are not needed for your fax software, do not include them in the string or enter them when entering the fax setup.
