SPDM - System User Default Maintenance

Program SPDM, System User Default Maintenance, is used to change the default financial enterprise, manufacturing enterprise, and plant entered in program SPUM, System Authorization Maintenance, for the Oracle User ID Name. This data controls the user's current access to the system.

All data accessed by this user is controlled by this record. If the financial enterprise is a consolidated enterprise, all financial enterprises consolidated to that enterprise can be accessed in certain maintenance programs.

Oracle User records and financial enterprise authorizations are created in program SPUM, System Authorization Maintenance. Only those financial enterprises authorized to a user can be enter for a user here.

User access can also be changed using the Financial Location and Operation Location codes on the menu. For more information, see Beside the Program Display in the Operator's Guide.

Changing User Access

1. If you wish to change the financial enterprise to which the user has access, enter the new financial enterprise in the Financial Enterprise field.

*        You can only access financial enterprises to which the user is authorized to access in program SPUM, System Authorization Maintenance.

*        If the financial enterprise is consolidated, access will be allowed for that enterprise and all subsidiary enterprises to that enterprise.

2. If you wish to change the manufacturing enterprise to which the user has access, enter the desired manufacturing enterprise in the Manufacturing Enterprise field.

3. If you wish to change the plant to which the user has access, enter the desired plant code in the Plant/ Store/ Warehouse field.

*        If a financial enterprise is specified for the plant code, only those plants with either a blank financial enterprise or plants tied to the selected financial enterprise will be accepted here. The program only accepts plant codes that are tied to the selected manufacturing enterprise code.

4. The Centralized Purchasing flag is a display field. This field is set for the user in program SPUM, System Authorization Maintenance.

*        This flag set to on indicates that the user can access data in purchasing programs for all plants within this manufacturing enterprise.

5. The Centralized Order Entry flag is a display field. This field is set for the user in program SPUM, System Authorization Maintenance.

*        This flag set to on indicates that the user can access data in sales order entry programs for all plants within this manufacturing enterprise.

6. The QC Approval Authority flag is a display field. If the user is a QC Approver in program SPUM, System Authorization Maintenance, this flag will be displayed as set to on in this program.

*        When the Quality Control Approval of Bills of Material Required flag is set to on in program SPMM, System Parameters/Default Maintenance, only users with the QC Approver flag set to on approve changes to a bill of material.

7. Press [Commit].
