New features added, version 7.5.2, 7.5.4, 8.4
Program SMQM, Sales Representative Quota Maintenance, is used to maintain the commission amounts paid to a sales representative. Vouchers and credit notes can be created in this program to pay to the sales representative the commission that was earned for a period.
Adjustments can be entered for a sales representative as well.
In order for a voucher to be created, a vendor number must exist for the sales representative in program VEMM, Vendor Master Maintenance, and it must be assigned to the sales representative in program SMMM, Sales Representative Master Maintenance.
When a sales commission voucher batch is created in program APVM, Voucher Entry/Maintenance, on a single day, all further vouchers created are included in the existing batch until the sales commission batch is processed with program APVP, Voucher Transactions Processing.
For example, if you create vouchers for all sales representatives for period two on a June 3, 1998, a voucher batch -CM0306980- will be created. Then, you create a voucher for period three for a single sales representative. The voucher for the single representative will be put in the existing voucher batch - CM0306980. If you then run the existing batch through APVP, Voucher Transactions Processing, and create a voucher for a single sales representative for period four, a new batch will be created - CM0306981.
In order for a credit note to be created, a customer number must exist for the sales representative in program CMMM, Customer Master Maintenance, and it must be assigned to the sales representative in the Sample a/c field in program SMMM, Sales Representative Master Maintenance.
Credit notes are created in program ARIE, One Step Invoice Entry, for the amount of the commission to be paid for the sales representative.
