PHCD - Cycle Count Defaults

See Also Programs

Program PHCD, Cycle Count Defaults, is used to query and/or change the defaults for the next batch number and starting tag numbers, for an upcoming physical inventory cycle.

These numbers are used by program PHCP, Cycle Count Preparation. The program displays the next available numbers. If they are correct, it is not necessary to make any changes.

The system performs edits to prevent duplicate use of batch or tag numbers, but a sequence of numbers can be skipped over. During the cycle, the system tracks the numbers used, including any extra tag numbers, to determine the starting numbers for the following cycle.

Setting Cycle Count Defaults

1. You should only change the defaults if you want batch numbers or tag numbers to be skipped.

2. Enter the next batch number to be used when batches are entered in program PHCP, Cycle Count Preparation.

3. Enter the next tag number to be used.

4. Press [Commit].
