New features added, version 7.5.3, 8.1
Program OECH, Shipped Order Merge, is used to combine several shipped sales orders for the same customer. This allows you to bill the customer for the sales orders with a single invoice.
In order to merge multiple sales orders for the same customer, all of the sales orders you wish to merge must have a status of S - Confirmed Complete.
1. Enter the sales order to which you wish to merge other sales orders. This is the primary (or target) order. The rest of the header information is entered by the system.
2. Press [Query] button and all the eligible orders that can be selected for merge will display. Using the checkbox to the left of the orders, select the orders that you wish to merge to the target order and press the [Assign] button.
3. In the lower block, the order numbers that you selected to merge will display. These are the secondary orders.
4. There are comments that can be entered with type MERG at both the header and line levels. If these are left blank, the system will create line messages on the merged order lines, detailing what order they were merged to.
5. Press the [Merge Orders] button to merge the secondary orders with the primary order.
· This copies all of the line item and summary information from the secondary orders to the primary order. The secondary orders are then into M (merged) status.
· The merged primary order is placed into S (Shipped) status, if not already in S status. If the target order was in Incomplete status, after merge it will be in S status and an invoice number will have been assigned.
· The miscellaneous codes are copied to the merged orders. If miscellaneous codes are duplicated among sales orders, the duplicated orders will be merged. When the order has been merged, return to program OESC, Shipping Confirmation, to maintain the miscellaneous codes.
· If a value is entered for the OECH_CUST_PO_TEXT parameter in program MURM, Initialization Parameter Maintenance, when a primary sales order with values in the Cust PO and Cust PO Line fields is merged, the values will be transferred to the line items for the primary sales order, and the value for the parameter will be entered in the Cust PO field for the primary sales order. The value entered for the parameter should not be greater than 30 characters.
6. After merging orders, you can press [Purge] button to clear the screen. However, the orders will still be merged if you press this button after merging the orders. The merged primary order will still exist in the system.
