Program IPCAM, Code 1 Maintenance, is used to enter, maintain, and delete item code descriptions for all item codes used in program ICMM, Inventory Master Maintenance. There are nine item codes available in program ICMM, Inventory Master Maintenance, for each item.
The inventory codes are linked to product groups, and can be used to differentiate general ledger postings, for items and ad-hoc reporting. The general ledger interface is set up in program GPTM, Posting Template Maintenance.
If you enter a code label in this program, the label will be displayed in program ICMM, Inventory Master Maintenance, next to the field for that inventory code. Labels are defined by product group. Therefore, when an item is assigned a product group, the label for code 1 for that product group will be displayed. The labels can also be maintained in program IPGM, Product Group Maintenance.
1. The program opens in query mode.
2. In the upper block, in the Product Group field, enter the product group for which you are entering inventory code labels and values.
3. Press [Execute Query].
4. Click on the tab for the inventory for which you are entering inventory code labels and values.
5. In the Label field, enter the code label for the product group and item code.
6. In the Code Value field, enter the code values for the inventory code.
7. In the Description field, enter the description for the code value.
8. In the Short Name field, enter the short name for the code value.
9. In the Seq field, enter the sequence in which this code value will be printed on inventory reports.
10. Press [Commit].
