Alternate units of measure and preferred SKUs are used when items are being stocked at one unit of measure but are being kept track of in different locations or for different plants in other units of measure. This feature allows quantities to be calculated for different locations, plants, and items in different units of measure. Preferred SKUs are used for lot controlled items and non-controlled items, but are not applicable to serial controlled items. Added ability to enter bulk moves using any unit of measure set up for the item in program ICMM, Inventory Master Maintenance. The UM field has a list of values of all alternate units of measure for the item. The new UM Conv field displays that unit of measure conversion for the entered unit of measure to be converted to the stock unit of measure for the item. The ICPM_MODE parameter in program MURM, Initialization Parameter Maintenance, determines whether the user can modify information on both the enterprise and plant tabs, or only on the plant tab. Modified program layout so that the item number only needs to be queried once at the top of the screen and then the items can be scrolled through. Removed the Item Sync between Tabs field as it is no longer necessary. Changed [Create Item Record] button to read [Create Plant Record]. Click on the Plant Tab to view the plant planning information. If no plant planning record exists, the tab will be grayed out and you can press the [Create Plant Record] button to create the record for the logged in plant. Modified how the defaults are determined when Creating Plant Records and Copying Manufacturing Enterprise Defaults using the [Create Plant Record] button or the [Copy ME Defaults]. Added Kit Availability Tab to how many kits can be built and the kit's component information. The kit information displayed includes the model number, description, and quantity available. The component information displayed includes the component number, description, minimum quantity, maximum quantity, quantity indicator, quantity on hand, and quantity available. Displays item quantities in the preferred SKU for the item if one is set up in program ICEM, Item Plant Maintenance, for the item or in program ILMM, Location Master Maintenance, for the location.
