Program ICIA, Inventory Adjustments, is used to maintain an item's inventory balance and to make location adjustments. The program is mainly intended for the following uses:
1. To initially load inventory balances into the system.
2. To compensate for erroneous transactions posted from other modules in the system.
3. To enter transactions for which modules are not yet installed.
The Old Bal, New Bal, and Bin/Mstr fields in this program display the bin balance before the transaction, the bin balance after the transaction, and the plant balance after the transaction, regardless of the any control numbers entered.
The on hand quantity for a specific control number can be viewed by pressing the [Zoom] button after entering the control number for the transaction.

Entering an Inventory Adjustment
When a master lot control number is adjusted using a control number range in program ICIA, Inventory Adjustments, the quantity adjusted is divided by the number of control numbers in the range. This amount is adjusted from each control number in the range. Any remaining quantity is adjusted from the last control number in the range.
For example, suppose the quantity adjusted is 125, and the control number range is ABC/101 to ABC/110. The system would divide 125 by 10, to get an even quantity of 12 and a remainder of 5. Control numbers ABC/101 to ABC/109 would be adjusted by the quantity of 12. The remainder of 5 would be added to the 12 for ABC/110, which means that ABC/110 would be adjusted by a quantity of 17.
If the quantity to adjust for a lot control number in the range exceeds the actual quantity on hand for the lot control number in the old location, the adjustment will not take place.
1. In the Employee field, enter the employee number.
2. In the Item Number field, enter the item number for which you are making an adjustment.
Kit items cannot be adjusted. You must adjust the quantities for the kit's components instead.
3. In the Trans Date field, enter the date for the adjustment.
4. In the Tran Qty field, enter the adjustment quantity.
5. In the U/M field, enter the unit of measure in which the adjustment is being made.
You can enter any unit of measure entered for the item as an alternate unit of measure in program ICMM, Inventory Master Maintenance.

7. In the Control No field, if the item is a controlled item, enter the control number for which you are making an adjustment.
If the adjustment is being made for an item that is defined as optional control in program ICEM, Item/Plant Maintenance, and the adjustment is begin made for a non-controlled location, you do not need to enter a control number.
If the item is lot controlled, enter the lot control number that is being adjusted.
If the item is a serial controlled item, you can enter a range of serial control numbers for the items being adjusted. Enter the first control number in the range in this field.
If you enter a range of serial control numbers for the items, the range of control numbers must be equal to the number of items adjusted. For example, if you are adjusting 5 of an item, you need to enter a range of control numbers that includes exactly five control numbers.
If you are using master lots, you can adjust a lot control number range here.
Enter the first lot control number in the range in the Control No field.
Enter the last control number in the range in the Thru Ctrl No field.
Only lot control numbers with master lots can be adjusted in ranges.
8. In the End Ctrl No field, enter the last control number for the range of serial or master lot control numbers being adjusted.
If you enter a range of serial control numbers for the items, the range of control numbers must be equal to the number of items being adjusted. For example, if you are adjusting 5 of an item, you need to enter a range of control numbers that includes exactly five control numbers.
9. In the Reference field, enter any reference text, if desired.
10. In the Reason Code field, enter the reason code for the adjustment.
