Conformance Specification (CS) Overview

The Conformance Specification (CS) Module includes programs used to set up and maintain specification information required by customers for the items that they buy.

Customer's must have customer item numbers set up in program ICCR, Customer / Item Cross Reference Maintenance, and conformance specification information for the item and customer must be set up in program CSCM, Customer Conformance Maintenance, before conformance specifications can be printed.

When a sales order has been entered for a customer and customer item for which a conformance specification has been entered, label or certificates can be printed for the sales order.

*     Certificate formatting is 80 characters by 66 characters, or Portrait style.

*     Label formatting is 40 characters by 30 characters.

Some of the information that can be printed on the certificate includes information from certain tables for items, sales orders, and customers. Engineering variables can be printed, as can references to other specifications. This information is assigned to the specification using the programs in this module.

The conformance specification that is used is determined by revision level. Several revisions of a certificate, label, or conformance specification can be entered at a single time, but only one revision can be active at any one time. The active revisions are those that will be printed on the certificates and labels.

*     You can duplicate existing revisions by querying the desired certificate revision, pressing [New Record], and then pressing [Duplicate Record].

*     All information entered for the existing revision, including the description lines, will be copied to the new record with the revision field left blank to be entered by the user.
