New features added, version 7.5.3, 8.1
Program CMHI, Customer History Inquiry, is used to display historical sales data for each customer.
Sales data is recorded in the customer history records when invoices are updated with program OESJ, Sales Order End of Day and Journals. The monthly, quarterly, and yearly totals are then zeroed at the appropriate time when the month-end update is processed with program UTMU, Month End History Update. These programs also update inventory and sales representative history records.
1. The program opens in query mode.
2. In the Cust No field, enter the customer number for which you wish to view customer history.
3. Press [Execute Query].
4. The information displayed in the header includes the customer number, name, short name, region, period, SIC code, class, price group, and territory.
5. The button to the right of the Enterprise field in the header displays either Show Summary of All Enterprises or Show Default Enterprise.
* When Show Summary of All Enterprises is on the button, it indicates that the values displayed on the screen are the values for the logged in enterprise displayed in the Enterprise field. Press the button for the values displayed to be a summary of all financial enterprise values for the customer.
* When Show Default Enterprise is on the button, it indicates that the values displayed to be a summary of all financial enterprise values for the customer. Press the button for the values displayed to be those for the logged in enterprise displayed in the Enterprise field.
The History tab displays the last update date for the booked, returned, and sold values. The month to date, quarter to date, year to date, and last year dollar values for this customer for the booked inventory, returned inventory, sold inventory, cost of sales, profit amount, and profit percent are also displayed. The information in the lower block includes the dollar values that were updated for those columns when program UTMU, Month End History Update, was last run.
* Values displayed are initially those for the current logged in financial enterprise. To view sales information for all enterprises, press the [Show Summary Across Enterprises] button.
The Discounts tab displays the last update date for the booked, returned, and sold values. The month to date, quarter to date, year to date, and last year dollar values for the gross sales, discounts, sales made at list price, and sales percentage at list are also displayed. The information in the lower block includes the dollar values that were updated for those columns when program UTMU, Month End History Update, was last run.
* Values displayed are initially those for the current logged in financial enterprise. To view discount summary information for all enterprises, press the [Show Summary Across Enterprises] button.
The Items tab displays a list of the items sold to this customer. The information includes the financial enterprise, period in which the item was sold, item number and description, quantity shipped, extended price and extended cost. The total extended price, extended cost, margin, and margin percentage for the customer is displayed at the top of the tab.
* You can sort the items displayed using the Sort By pop-list at the top of the tab. Choices are by item and year month or by year month and item.
* Values displayed are initially those for the current logged in financial enterprise. To view discount summary information for all enterprises, press the [Show Summary Across Enterprises] button.
