Program CMAM, Customer Account Class Maintenance, is used to add and maintain customer account class records.
Account classes A - Charge Account, C - Cash Account, E - Employee Discounts, F - Finance Company, I - Installment Plan Account, and R - Rental Account are supplied with the system.
The following rules for the supplied classes must be adhered to:
1. You should not delete the A account type.
2. If you are not assigning House customer numbers to employees in program LREE, Employee Maintenance, you can delete the E account class.
3. If you are not using third party financing, you can delete the F account class.
Remember that you can change the account descriptions to something that is more suited to the business process, rather than deleting the account classes.
1. In the Cust Class field, enter the account class code.
2. In the Description field, enter the account class description.
For existing records, you can change the account descriptions.
3. Press [Commit].
