Showcase: MURM, Initialization Parameter Maintenance

Are you sure that you are using all of the features in NDS Applications that can help you? Program MURM, Initialization Parameter Maintenance, has hundreds features that you may not be aware of andthat can help your simplify your work. Depending on the feature, the parameters entered in program MURM, Initialization Parameter Maintenance, can be set up as:

System-wide

Enterprise specific

Plant specific

Location specific

User specific

These parameters enable features across NDS Applications, affecting programs, processes, and modules. Standard, user-specific, and custom parameters are stored on different tabs and the parameters are categorized, making it easier for you to find the ones that you want to use. By pressing the comment button for the parameter, you can read how the feature works. In addition, the Missing tab displays those parameters that are available but that are missing from the program. With the simple check of a checkbox, you can reinstate the parameter for your system and start using the feature.

Collecting Marketing Data for Prospects

Looking for a way to direct the marketing of your products towards the prospects that will benefit from them the most? We've added a tab in program PRMM, Prospect Master Maintenance, to do just that. Originally created to contain data imported from Dunn & Bradstreet, the new Marketing tab allows you to enter and maintain the necessary marketing data to direct marketing materials for specific products and product lines to the prospects that will use them, thus making them customers! When the prospect becomes a customer, the marketing data is carried with them to program CMMM, Customer Master Maintenance, so that you can keep them as customers.

Once the prospect marketing information has been collected for your prospects, analysis of the data can go far in getting the right product information to the right prospects. Work with NDS to develop custom reports and queries to get your marketing mailings delivered to those that will benefit from them the most.
