Menu System

This application is menu assisted. Users may navigate the menu, find programs using a meaningful word or just type in the appropriate acronym to run a program. The menu is displayed in an expandable tree format.  Individual user menus may be setup for specific job functions or users.  These menus may be specified for login and/or from the main menu.

The menu system controls the application security which allows, includes, and excludes users. Security may be defined by groups as well as individually. Security may be specified at the program level or at the application type level.

Since the menu definition consists of meta data, no programming is required to modify the menu to add custom programs.  Specific complex job streams are defined and run using the menu system.
