Forecasting

The Forecasting module uses sales data to calculate forecasts of future activity according to rules set up for each item. It provides seasonality, item grouping, user defined alpha smoothing and safety factors. The forecast calculation results are merged by the application with any manually entered forecasts prior to being processed by MPS.

The features in this module include:

Defaults by plant with individual item overrides for forecast parameters
Forecast based on orders or shipments
Group items for common forecast parameters
Items are forecasted, tracked or ignored
Seasonality factors by item
Safety factors by item
Recalculate safety stock
Forecasts based on a rolling twelve months of data
User controlled historical data purge.
Forecasts used to drive MPS or Reorder Point
User-defined alpha and smoothing factors by forecast group
Manual Forecasts can be added
