NDS has incorporated a new search-as-you-type feature into Programs OEOE, OEXP, OQEM, CMMM, CMCM, ARAI and MTMM.

To access this feature, double-click on the Customer number field in any one of those programs. A new window will open up, and from there you’ll be able to search by a multitude of criteria (Zip Code, Address, Name, Phone Number or Contact). As you type in the search field, the program finds possible matches and displays them to the right. Once you narrow the search to a single customer, the information is returned to the screen. This new in-form search feature is controlled by a MURM parameter for each program type (order entry, customer/AR, MTMM).

The search feature can also be accessed by running CSRCH from the main menu for ad-hoc customer searches.

Program CSRCH is available in NDS versions 7.5.4R3 and 8.4R3.

Previously in NDS, you could only reserve work order controlled items by area/bin location. Now, NDS has added new functionality to Reservations so you can reserve sales order controlled items by area/bin location. Instead of having to search through various area and bin locations, this change allows the person picking the materials to pinpoint and locate items exactly where they are. While this new feature is helpful for those with multiple area and bin locations, it can be used by anyone.

In addition, for those customers who need to keep inventory reserved for future ship date orders, NDS has added the ability to enforce a "hard reservation." Essentially, if you do an inventory transaction that would cause inventory levels to fall below the level necessary to fulfill one or more reservations then the transaction will fail and provide the user with a pop-up message. This feature is best used with reservations by area/bin to limit the inventory transactions that are affected. This feature is also controlled with a MURM setting to On or Off.

Program PCHP now allows for the selection of bin locations to be counted based on activity over a user-defined number of days. Available in NDS Versions 7.5.4R3 and 8.4R3
