EDI External Interface

 

The EDI External Interface application creates sales orders from EDI 850 transactions entered in external programs. Standard information from the transaction must exist in NDSi before a sales order can be created. Once sales orders have been created from the EDI transactions, the transactions can be purged from the system.

 
 

The features in this module include:

  • Ability to modify EDI transaction information before creating sales orders.
  • Data stability through existance of customers, terms codes, and items in NDS before the sales order can be created.
  • Customer purchase orders linked to only exist on one sales order.
  • Once a sales order is created, the EDI transaction can no longer be modified.
