User Defined Drill Down

Every NDS program has drill down capability with specific drill downs predefined in the program. Since drill downs are defined as meta data and not hard coded in the programs, they may be added to, or modified on the fly by authorized users. The drill down feature may also be used as a print button for reports. This feature uses key field data to display specific data in the accessed program.

 

The features in this module include:

  • Run multiple levels of programs from within a program
  • Both maintenance and query of a program allowed
  • Predefined drill downs loaded with installation and upgrades
  • Authorized users allowed to add custom drill downs on the fly
  • Key field data may be carried to the accessed program for queries
  • Drill down visibility may be restricted to block or field level of a program
  • Reports can be fixed or e-mailed directly from the drill down
  • Print reports directly from a maintenance or query program
  • Access to programs based on user security
  • Number of levels of drill downs possible, restricted only by available system memory
